Under the procedural leadership of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office, a 49-year-old man was charged with intentional homicide (Part 1, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
The suspect was remanded in custody.
According to the investigation, a local resident killed his son-in-law in one of the villages of the Stryi district.
That evening, the father came to visit his daughter, who lives with her 30-year-old husband and a young child.
During a joint dinner, the men drank alcoholic beverages, during which a verbal conflict arose between them, which turned into a fight.
The son-in-law fell to the floor from the blow, and the suspect picked up a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest with it. The latter died on the spot from his injuries.
The figure was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
Investigative actions are ongoing, all the circumstances of the event are being established.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the Stryi district police department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
