The detainee faces up to four years in prison for the crime.
According to the employees of the Yavoriv district police department, on September 15, around 7:20 a.m., two residents of the village of Rudne, aged 32 and 52, committed hooliganism in the village of Hrushiv, Yavoriv district. During a conflict with a 46-year-old resident of Vinnytsia, intruders injured him and damaged his Mercedes Sprinter car.
The police arrested the perpetrators in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Soon the court will choose a preventive measure for them.
According to the fact, investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – restriction of liberty for a term of up to five years or deprivation of liberty for a term of up to four years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
