The traffic accident happened on September 8, around 1:00 p.m., on Aviation Square in Novy Kalinov, Sambir District.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the car “ZAZ 110377-40”, a 60-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, hit a pedestrian, a 9-year-old local resident.
As a result of the road accident, the young boy was injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of Lviv Oblast opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
