On Chornovola Avenue in Lviv, a driver hit two pedestrians

The traffic accident occurred on February 10 at 11:05 p.m. on Chornovola Avenue in Lviv.

As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Nissan Qashqai car, a 35-year-old resident of the village of Bryukhovychi, hit two pedestrians – a 40-year-old man from Lviv and a year older resident of the Sambir region, who were crossing the roadway within the pedestrian crossing. As a result of the collision, the men were injured and hospitalized.

According to the fact, the investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.

An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
