In Stryshchyna, a 49-year-old man is accused of murdering his son-in-law

Under the procedural leadership of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office, the pre-trial investigation was completed and the indictment against the 49-year-old man was sent to the court. He is accused of premeditated murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The suspect is currently in custody.

The investigation established that a local resident killed his son-in-law in one of the villages of the Stryi district.

That evening, the father came to visit his daughter, who lived with her 30-year-old husband and a young child.

During a joint dinner, the men drank alcoholic beverages, and later a verbal conflict arose between them. During the fight, the accused punched his son-in-law, causing him to fall to the floor. The accused did not stop there, took a knife in his hands and hit the victim in the chest with it.

The latter died on the spot from his injuries.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Stryi district police department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
