The Stryi district prosecutor’s office sent an indictment to the court against the head of the enterprise for embezzling UAH 535,000 during the renovation of the educational institution.
The investigation established that the director of the company entered false information about the volume and quality of work into the official documents. The company carried out major repairs of a school-lyceum in Stryshchyna on the order of one of the city councils of the region.
The citizen is charged with misappropriation of budget funds and official forgery (Part 4 of Article 191, Part 3 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The property of the accused was seized in the amount of over 300,000 hryvnias.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Stryiskiy RUP GU of the NP in the Lviv region.
Note: According to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
