The road accident occurred on 16 September, around 14.00, on the Bibrka-Burshtyn road near the village of Berezina, Stryi district.
Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that a BMW X5 driven by a 25-year-old resident of Khodoriv and a Skoda Octavia driven by a 41-year-old resident of a village in Stryi district collided.
As a result of the accident, the passengers of the Skoda Octavia, two 67-year-old residents of Stryi district, were injured and taken to a medical facility.
Investigators of Police Department No. 1 of the Stryi District Police Department opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
