Military personnel of the “Sheghini” department of the Lviv detachment stopped the illegal intention of a foreigner to enter the EU countries
Border guards received information about the appearance of an unknown person at the border from a local resident. The border guards immediately organized a search for the alleged violator. As a result, a few hundred meters from the state border, the response group detained one citizen. He turned out to be a native of India with identity documents.
As it was later established, the foreigner entered Ukraine according to the established procedure and studied in the capital. However, he decided to bypass the checkpoints to get to the neighboring country. Currently, the detainee has been taken to the border unit for the preparation of procedural documents.
For committing an offense, a foreigner will have to appear before a court, which will provide a legal assessment of his actions.
