The traffic accident occurred on October 29, around 1:20 a.m., in the village of Gostinceve, Yavoriv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Peugeot 407 car, a 29-year-old resident of Ternopil, lost control, drove off the roadway and into a tree, and then into a fence.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the car, a 28-year-old resident of Ternopil, was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Yavoriv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
