The traffic accident happened on September 15, around 09:45, in the village of Lozyno, Yavoriv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the “Mercedes-Benz 124”, a 40-year-old resident of Sokal, lost control and drove into a ditch.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car was injured and taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
