In Lviv Oblast, a 7-year-old girl-pedestrian was injured as a result of being hit by a Toyota – the police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident happened on July 8 on Ivan Franko street in the village of Nakonechne-Druhe, Yavoriv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, a 50-year-old man from Kyiv, driving a Toyota Camry, hit a 7-year-old pedestrian girl, a local resident.
As a result of the road accident, the child received physical injuries and was hospitalized in the neurosurgical department.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
The police call on drivers: strictly follow the traffic rules, do not exceed the permitted speed, be especially careful when approaching intersections and pedestrian crossings.
