A traffic accident occurred on April 18, at about 12.40, on the Ternopil-Lviv-Rava-Ruska highway in the village of Volya-Vysotska, Lviv district
According to police, the driver of the Fiat Scudo, a 72-year-old Lviv resident, hit a cyclist, a 12-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the girl was injured and hospitalized.
In fact, investigators of the territorial police department of Lviv region opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
