Prosecutors protecting public interests: over 35 hectares of land to be returned to hromada in Zolochiv district
The Economic Court of Lviv Region upheld the claim of the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office against the debtor and the farm to recover rent arrears, terminate the lease agreement and return the land plot to the territorial community.
It is an agricultural land plot located on the territory of the Buska hromada (Zolochiv Rayon). Its area is more than 35 hectares.
It was established that the business entity, in violation of the terms of the agreement, used the land plot for other purposes, and the unscrupulous tenant systematically failed to pay the rent for the use of the land. The latter was transferred to him for farming from among the hayfield lands.
As a result of these actions, the local budget did not receive a significant amount of money.
In response to the identified violations of the law, the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit with the court, which was granted.
Once the decision enters into force, the Prosecutor’s Office will take measures to enforce it immediately.
