In Lviv Oblast, a pedestrian was killed as a result of a truck collision – law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident occurred on October 10, around 8:00 p.m., on the Ternopil-Lviv-Rava-Ruska highway in the village of Pidhorodne, Zolochiv district.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the “Daf” car, a 40-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district, hit a pedestrian, a 47-year-old resident of Zolochiv. The man died at the scene from injuries received as a result of the accident.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
