In the past, business entities have repeatedly appealed to the Lviv OVA regarding the unclear and non-transparent mechanism of activity of the Main Directorate of the DPS in the Lviv region in terms of making a decision on the reimbursement of VAT to one or another business entity.
So, last month, the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytsky, raised the issue of the non-transparent mechanism of DPS activity in the Lviv region. It was about incomprehensible manual decision-making regarding the reimbursement of VAT to one or another business entity.
“At the beginning of this month, I learned from the mass media that at a meeting with members of the public council at the State Department of the Lviv Region DPS Acting Andriy Shcherbak, the head of the Main Department of the DPS in the Lviv region, said that the figures regarding VAT refunds to companies should not be of interest to the administration, because this is not its competence. And the competence of law enforcement agencies.
As it turned out, law enforcement agencies have such numbers and facts. And they relate to the illegal activities of enterprises that were part of the conversion center in Lviv,” Maksym Kozytskyi said.
The head of the Lviv Region reported that the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office established that a number of enterprises provided services to minimize tax liabilities and artificially generate tax credit to other business entities by documenting financial and economic transactions, without actually carrying them out.
During the searches, draft records and draft accounting, computer equipment, 32 seals of companies with signs of fictitiousness that were part of the group, tax documentation were found and seized.
In addition, the director of the company, which illegally formed and overestimated the tax credit, as a result of which evaded payment of taxes to the budget in the amount of more than UAH 3.2 million, was informed today of suspicion under Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
“I thank the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the investigators of the Police of Lviv Region and the employees of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Lviv Region for the work done. I emphasize once again – war is not a time for schemes and machinations. And there should be no untouchables here!” – emphasized Maksym Kozytskyi.
