On March 31, around 10:30 p.m., the 102 hotline received a report about an explosion that occurred in one of the apartments in an apartment building on Zamarstynivska Street in Lviv.
Bomb technicians and employees of other police services of the Lviv Region worked at the scene.
According to the law enforcement officers, a grenade, probably a grenade, exploded in the apartment. As a result of the explosion, the guest, a 44-year-old resident of Chernihiv, received bodily injuries from which he died at the scene, and the owner of the apartment, a 52-year-old resident of Lviv, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and Part 2 of Art. 15 h. 1 st. 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanctions of the articles is imprisonment for a term of up to fifteen years.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, the police are establishing the circumstances of the event and the origin of the ammunition.
