Five people injured in car collision in Lviv region – police establish circumstances
The traffic accident occurred on July 28 at about 16.00 in a village of Zolochiv district.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, the driver of an Audi A4, a 46-year-old resident of Zolochiv, collided with a Hyundai Galloper driven by a 35-year-old resident of a village in the district.
The vehicles were moving in the same direction. As a result of the collision, the driver of the Audi and four of his passengers aged 44, 33 and two 19-year-olds were injured and taken to hospital.
Investigators of the Zolochiv District Police Department opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
