Five people in the Lviv district died due to carbon monoxide poisoning, two children are in serious condition

The police are investigating the circumstances of the death of five people in the Lviv district

The primary cause of death is carbon monoxide poisoning. Two more children are hospitalized in serious condition.

On October 7, the Police Department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 received a report that the bodies of several people without signs of life were found in the house of one of the villages of the Lviv District.

An investigative and operative group, criminalists and employees of other services of the territorial division of the police worked at the scene. In the house, law enforcement officers found the bodies of five local residents – women aged 29, 53 and 75 and men aged 33 and 57. It was preliminarily established that the cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning.

In addition, doctors hospitalized two boys aged seven and nine with the diagnosis of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 270 (Violation of fire or man-made safety requirements established by law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. The law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the event, an examination has been scheduled.
