During the conflict in Stryshchyna, a local resident killed his son

The prosecutors of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent to the court an indictment against a local resident on the fact of causing intentional grievous bodily harm, which caused the death of the victim (Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the accused lived with his wife and their 47-year-old son in one of the villages of the Stryi district.

Conflicts often arose between men. The reason was alcohol abuse by the victim, and since he was unemployed, he took money for alcohol and living from his retired parents.

During the feast, another conflict arose between the relatives, during which the suspect took a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim in the back.

The son was hospitalized with injuries. However, the latter died of severe injuries a day later.

The accused is currently in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the police department No. 3 of the Stryi district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
