The incident took place on the highway Kyiv – Chop near the village of Gamalivka.
Suburban bus No. 222 connecting Lviv – Yakymiv was involved in an accident.
About 40 passengers were in the bus. As of 7:30 p.m. on January 17, it is known that 20 victims are being hospitalized, including two in serious condition and another patient with an amputated eye.

— there are 25 patients in the St. Panteleimon hospital: 10 were brought by ambulances, 15 were self-referrals.
— 8 patients were brought to St. Luke’s Hospital by ambulance.
— St. Nicholas Hospital accepted 3 children.

According to the law enforcement officers, the traffic on this section of the road is complicated due to the accident. There are traffic jams near Gamalivka. Police officers regulate traffic.
