Law enforcement officers warn: in the event of worsening weather and road conditions – snowfall, ice, insufficient visibility, drivers driving vehicles must carefully comply with the requirements of the Traffic Rules, be careful and think through every maneuver. Do not exceed a safe speed and be careful.
The traffic accident occurred on January 20 at around 2 p.m. on the Boryslav-Truskavets highway near the town of Truskavets, Drohobytsky District.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, a Toyota Auris car driven by a 42-year-old resident of Drohobych and a DAF truck driven by a 39-year-old resident of Vinnytsia region collided. As a result of the collision, the driver of the passenger car received injuries and was taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of police department No. 2 of the Drohobytsk district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
