They urge businesses to immediately report such situations to law enforcement agencies.
The Main Department of the State Tax Service in Lviv region receives information from business entities that unidentified persons, who claim to be employees of the territorial bodies of the State Tax Service, call them and try to fraudulently extort money.
In particular, the criminals call entrepreneurs and offer them to provide financial assistance to the tax authorities for their loyalty, in particular, for not conducting control and verification activities.
“Be as cautious as possible and do not succumb to such provocations by fraudsters. If such phone calls occur or have occurred, do not ignore them, immediately notify law enforcement agencies to prevent and stop fraudulent actions,” the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Lviv region said.
