According to police, the detainees, a 30-year-old resident of Kyiv and a 47-year-old resident of Odessa, entered salons, used tear gas against administrators, destroyed property, set fire to the premises, and then fled.
Thus, on November 30, 2021, at about 7 pm, unknown men with masks on their faces broke into one of Lviv’s beauty salons on Shota Rustaveli Street, one of whom applied a tear gas canister to a female administrator and pushed her to the floor. After that, the attackers destroyed furniture and other property and set it on fire. When the fire started, the uninvited guests fled, and the administrator reported the incident to the police.
As a result of the ignition of the cabin, significant losses were caused.
On this fact, officers of the Investigative Department of the Lviv Region Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 296 (Hooliganism) and Part 2 of Article 194 (Deliberate destruction or damage to property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanctions of the articles is imprisonment for a term of three to ten years.
During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers established that a 30-year-old resident of Kyiv and a 47-year-old resident of Odessa were involved in the crime. Detectives of the Lviv Region Police together with officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the city of Kyiv and Odesa detained the perpetrators in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court will soon choose precautionary measures for the detainees.
