Police are looking for witnesses to an accident that injured a passenger in a car

The accident occurred on 15 September, at around 23.30, at the intersection of Paton and Vyhovskoho streets in Lviv.
Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that the unidentified driver of a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle.
As a result of the accident, a 51-year-old passenger of the car was injured and taken to a medical facility.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
The police are identifying the driver, conducting operational and search activities and establishing the circumstances of the accident.
