On January 8, a tragic incident occurred at a ski resort in the Stryi district, resulting in the death of a 12-year-old boy from Kyiv. Preliminary findings indicate that the boy fell while skiing and sustained a severe head injury. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, his life could not be saved.
Incident Details
The police received a report of the incident around 2:30 PM. Investigative and operational teams from Police Department No. 3 of the Stryi District and other territorial police units are working at the scene.
According to law enforcement, the boy was vacationing with his parents. During a ski descent, he fell, suffering a critical head injury. Paramedics provided first aid on-site, but unfortunately, the boy did not survive.

Police are conducting initial investigative actions to determine the circumstances of the tragedy. The legal qualification of the incident is currently under consideration.
