From January to September of this year, 478 road accidents occurred on the roads of Lviv Oblast with victims as a result of drivers not observing the speed limit on the road. It became fatal for 47 people, and 648 people were injured.
This was reported to the Patrol Police of the Lviv Region.
At all times, we urge drivers to be aware and strictly adhere to the safe and established speed limit on the road. According to statistics, non-observance of this rule leads among the main causes of traffic accidents with victims, which is 30% of their total number.
Since the beginning of the year, inspectors issued 50,701 decisions for non-observance of the speed limit by drivers.
We remind you about the responsibility in case of neglect of this rule:
📍 for exceeding the speed by more than 20 km/h, a fine of 340 hryvnias is provided;
📍 for exceeding the speed by more than 50 km/h, a fine of 1700 hryvnias is provided.
