It has been established that a resident of Sambir district is involved in at least 20 cases of illegal transportation of men of military age across the state border of Ukraine.
The perpetrator was exposed by operatives of the migration police department together with employees of the criminal analysis department of the police of Lviv region and the Sambir district police department, as well as military personnel of the 7th detachment of the State Border Service, under the procedural guidance of the Sambir district prosecutor’s office.
As the law enforcement officers established, the 28-year-old resident of Sambir Oblast contributed to the production of fictitious documents that gave the right to men of conscription age to leave for the territory of another state.
During the authorized searches, documents, draft records and other material evidence were seized from the perpetrator, confirming his involvement in the organization of illegal transportation of persons across the border of Ukraine.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the State border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of five to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
