The traffic accident happened on July 13 around 19:00 in the village of Giyche, Lviv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Honda car, a 57-year-old resident of Lviv, hit a six-year-old girl, a local resident, who ran out onto the roadway. As a result of the collision, the child received bodily injuries, in particular, a broken leg, and was taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
