The prosecutors of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against a 65-year-old man for official negligence that caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the former acting director of the separate division of the state-owned enterprise “Lvivvugilya” did not properly control fuel consumption for the boiler mine during the heating season. Without checking the reliability of the information on the internal technological needs of buildings and structures that are heated, almost 2.7 million hryvnias of coal was unjustifiably written off.
At the request of the prosecutor, the property of the accused was seized.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by investigators of Police Department No. 2 of the Chervonograd District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
