In the Lviv region, the prosecutor’s office has sent to court a criminal case against a 36-year-old resident of Radekhiv, accused of manufacturing and selling counterfeit alcohol. It was established that the man organized an enterprise to produce counterfeit liquor products labeled as goods from well-known Ukrainian brands. For this purpose, an underground workshop with the necessary equipment was created in a garage.
The products were labeled with pseudo-excise tax marks and sold over the internet. Additionally, the accused used a portion of the illegal profits for legalization through ATMs, depositing funds into his personal account. Searches revealed equipment for production, counterfeit alcohol, alcohol, and fake excise labels.
The investigation was conducted by detectives of the Lviv BEB with the operational support of the SBU of the region. It is important to note that according to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person cannot be found guilty until their guilt is officially proven in court.
