The prosecutors of the Zhovkiv District Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment to the court against the 23-year-old Lviv man for fraud (Part 4, Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the accused illegally privatized the former airfield. We are talking about an asphalt site with a total area of 9,000 square meters, which is located in one of the villages of the Lviv district.
To do this, the man illegally submitted false documents to the state registrar of the village council. According to which the latter, in the absence of proper legal documents, made changes to the State Register of Real Property Rights regarding the right of private ownership of the object of immovable property.
As a result, the airstrip was removed from the management of the Zhovkiv Territorial Community and became the property of the defendant.
In this way, the community suffered damages in the amount of about 9.5 million hryvnias.
According to the lawsuit of the prosecutor’s office, the illegally privatized site was returned to the communal property of the Zhovkiv City Council.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Investigative Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police of the region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
