A man from Lviv will be tried for fraud with modular houses for more than 650 thousand hryvnias

Under the procedural leadership of the Zhovkiv district prosecutor’s office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 57-year-old resident of Lviv for fraud (parts 2, 3 of article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the accused had developed and implemented a fraudulent scheme to acquire significant and large amounts of money.

The impersonator assured the victim that he could manufacture and install a modular house. For this, he concluded a fictitious contract with the victim on the performance of the above-mentioned works. He introduced himself as the deputy director of one of the Lviv construction companies. However, he was never like that.

According to the contract, the victim paid an advance and additional costs in the total amount of UAH 290,000. The accused disposed of the funds at his own discretion.

According to the same plan, he “processed” another victim, seizing UAH 367,000.

In this way, the man took possession of UAH 657,000.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
