Two residents of Yavoriv district to be tried for selling cannabis and amphetamine

Prosecutors of the Yavoriv District Prosecutor’s Office sent to court an indictment against two men. They are charged with using the proceeds of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, illegal acquisition, storage and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as providing premises for their use (Part 2 of Art. 306, Part 2 of Art. 307, Part 2 of Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the defendants organized the sale of drugs and psychotropic substances in Yavoriv district.

The two friends purchased, packaged and sold cannabis and amphetamine to local residents. Orders were accepted by phone, the “customers” received the goods at a meeting and paid in cash directly on the spot.

The estimated monthly profit from this “business” was about UAH 100 thousand.

In addition, the defendants allowed drug addicts to use prohibited drugs and substances in their garage.

The defendants are currently in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Yavoriv District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.

Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
