Prosecutors of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv completed a pre-trial investigation and sent to court an indictment against a 41-year-old resident of Rivne region. He is accused of illegal acquisition, transportation and storage with intent to sell narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in particularly large amounts (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in March last year in Lviv, the defendant purchased and stored particularly dangerous psychotropic drugs in his car with the intent to sell them.
On that day, the man’s vehicle was stopped by police officers. During the check of his personal documents, the defendant began to behave suspiciously and was visibly nervous.
Subsequently, during a search of the accused’s car, law enforcement officers found and seized almost 80 ziplock bags of particularly dangerous drugs – cannabis, weighing more than 400 grams. In addition, more than 170 ziplock bags with a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance – PVP, weighing almost 300 grams, as well as 10 ziplock bags with amphetamine were seized.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.
