The traffic accident happened on July 7 at 6:20 a.m. on the Mukachevo-Lviv highway in the village of Davydiv, Lviv district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mercedes car, a 49-year-old resident of the area, lost control of the vehicle and drove into the oncoming traffic lane, where it collided with a Toyota car and a Volkswagen Golf. Then, moving by inertia, the “Toyota” collided with another “Volkswagen Golf”.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Mercedes, the 36-year-old driver of the Toyota, and the 45-year-old occupant of one of the Volkswagens were injured – all residents of the Lviv district. They were taken to medical facilities.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
