He stabbed and ran away: an attacker accused of murdering an acquaintance will be tried in Lviv Oblast
After committing the crime, the man tried to leave the city, but he was promptly detained by law enforcement officers. According to the court’s decision, the perpetrator is in custody.
As the law enforcement officers established, on July 9, around 8:00 p.m., in one of the apartments on Vyacheslava Chornovola Street in Boryslav, while a group of men were drinking alcohol, one of the guests, a 37-year-old local resident, stabbed the 66-year-old owner of the apartment in the chest with a knife. , then ran away. The man died from his injuries at the scene.
The police carried out a complex of operational and search measures, a dog handler with a service dog determined the direction of the intruder’s movement, and soon the operatives detained him while trying to leave the city.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under Part 1 of Article 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed, the indictment has been sent to the court for consideration.
For the crime committed, the accused is liable to imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
