The traffic accident happened on May 30, around 6:00 p.m., on Shevchenko Street in Boryslav
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Daewoo Lanos car, a 34-year-old resident of Boryslav, hit a pedestrian, a 22-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the man was injured and, despite the efforts of doctors, died in the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
