The road accident occurred on 27 August, at around 17.45, on Volodymyr Velykyi Street in Boryslav.
Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that a Citroen C4 Picasso driven by a 61-year-old resident of Boryslav collided with a City R 200 motorcycle driven by a 17-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the minor motorcyclist was injured and hospitalised in intensive care.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Drohobych District Police Department opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
