Under the supervision of prosecutors of the Lviv Region Prosecutor’s Office, four members of the organized group were exposed and served suspicion notices. They are charged with illegal acquisition, transportation, storage and sale of narcotic drugs (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in Drohobych, the suspects organized a traffic for the supply and sale of buprenorphine among drug addicts in prisons.
To do this, members of the organized group who were at large supplied the “goods” to the organizer in prison. The drugs were delivered by throwing them through the guarded perimeter of the colony.
Approximately 30 drug-containing pills were delivered every week.
The criminal scheme was exposed during the transfer of another batch to the prison.
The investigation is ongoing. A motion to choose custody as a type of detention is being prepared.
As a result of the searches, the SBU found and seized drugs, bank cards, mobile phones and SIM cards.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region, with operational support provided by the Strategic Investigations Department in Lviv region of the State Secret Service of the National Police of Ukraine.
