The traffic accident happened on May 5 on the Skhidnytsia – Pisochne highway near the city of Boryslav.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, a DAF truck collided with a trailer driven by a 26-year-old resident of Lviv district and an AZLK passenger car driven by a 74-year-old resident of Drohobytskyi district. As a result of the collision, the driver of the car was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Drohobytsk district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
