In Kamianets-Buzka, the police uncovered an attacker suspected of giving a false report about the preparation of explosions
The 27-year-old man, who temporarily lives in the Lviv region, was exposed by the operatives of the criminal police together with the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1, under the procedural guidance of the Zhovkiv district prosecutor’s office.
As the law enforcement officers established, on January 13, the attacker called the 102 hotline and informed about the preparation of explosions located on the territory of the community. Law enforcement officers responded to the report – explosives specialists, investigative and operational teams and employees of other police services of the Lviv region worked in the premises of two hospitals.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police informed the intruder about the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Article 259 (Knownly false report on threat to the safety of citizens, destruction or damage to property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of four to eight years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for the suspect.
