Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, urgent investigative actions were carried out during the pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of forgery of excise tax stamps and illegal transportation of excise goods (part 1 of article 204, part 1 of article 199 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Thus, as part of the said proceedings, an urgent search was conducted of a DAF truck transporting 9,000 liters of alcohol from Rivne to Lviv region.
In addition, as a result of the conducted search, the specified truck, forged license plates and documents for it, as well as cash in the amount of almost UAH 19,000 were seized.
Currently, a petition is being prepared to the court to grant permission to conduct the specified search.
The estimated value of the recovered alcohol is more than UAH 1 million.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by detectives of TU BEB in Lviv region.
