Two cars collide in Lviv district, two women are injured

The accident occurred on April 14 at about 15:00 on the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the village of Rakovets, Lviv district.

As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, an Audi driven by a 63-year-old resident of Lviv and a Toyota driven by a 30-year-old woman from Lviv collided.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Toyota and her 50-year-old passenger sustained injuries and were provided with medical care.

Investigators of the Police Department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.

The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
