The traffic accident happened on August 30, around 10:30 p.m., on Chervonaya Kalyna Avenue in Lviv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Geely MK Cross car, a 39-year-old resident of the Volyn region, hit a pedestrian, a 16-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the girl received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, investigators of police department #2 of Lviv district police department #2 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
