In Lviv, law enforcement officers took into custody an intruder who had been sexually assaulting his minor daughter for years
The suspect, a 44-year-old man from Lviv, was exposed by operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department and the Migration Police Department together with investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes Committed Against Life and Health of the Lviv Oblast Police Investigation Department, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
As the law enforcement officers established, the perpetrator committed lewd acts against his minor daughter, molested her, forced her to make pornographic images with her participation, violently gratified sexual passion in an unnatural way, and also kept child pornography.
After reaching adulthood, the victim sought help from a psychologist and later informed the law enforcement officers about the crimes her father had committed against her over the years.
The police officers conducted an authorized search of the man’s residence, during which they discovered and seized material evidence of his involvement in the crimes reported by his daughter. Everything removed is directed to expert research.
Investigators informed the intruder that he is suspected of committing a number of criminal offenses. The maximum punishment provided by the sanctions of the articles is up to fifteen years of imprisonment.
The court chose a preventive measure for the suspect – detention without bail.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
