A court process concerning the abuses of a state registrar from the city council of Lviv is gaining momentum. The Halytsky District Prosecutor’s Office of Lviv has submitted an indictment to the court, accusing the registrar of unauthorized access to information in electronic systems and abuse of power, as stipulated by Part 1 of Article 362 and Part 1 of Article 365-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, in 2021, the accused carried out an unlawful registration of property rights on a non-residential premises located in Lviv, with an area of almost 120 square meters, in favor of a state-owned joint-stock company. The operation was carried out by making unauthorized changes to the state register of property rights without proper legal grounds.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by Lviv District Police Department No. 1 under the operational guidance of the SBU in Lviv Oblast. It should be noted that according to the Constitution of Ukraine, until a verdict is established by the court, the accused is presumed innocent.
