The traffic accident occurred on October 3 on the territory of the geriatric boarding house on Medovaya Pechery street in Lviv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Renault Megane car, a 69-year-old man from Lviv, hit an 83-year-old female pedestrian.
As a result of the road accident, the woman received bodily injuries, she was provided with medical assistance.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
