On the evening of January 12, the patrol police responded to a traffic incident on Mykolaychuka Street in Lviv. The accident, which involved a 16-year-old driver, occurred without injuries.
The teenager, driving a Volkswagen Jetta, failed to account for road conditions, exceeded a safe speed, and lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the car hit a curb, flipped onto its roof, and slid into a ditch.
The parents of the underage driver were called to the scene. The police issued two citations to the teen:
- under Part 2, Article 126 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (driving without a license);
- under Article 124 (violating traffic rules leading to an accident).
The court will decide further actions in this case.
The patrol police urge parents to take greater responsibility for their children and prevent situations that could lead to road hazards.
