In Lviv, patrol officers stopped a car where four men kidnapped a 32-year-old foreigner

On Wednesday, February 15, around 2:00 p.m., the patrol officers received a tip about the Skoda Yeti car, from which the persons allegedly illegally detained a person.

This is reported by the patrol police of the Lviv region.

An eyewitness of the event said that four men forcibly put an unknown person, who was resisting and screaming, into the mentioned car on Lypinsky Street.

The next part of the administration, having monitored the city’s cameras, discovered that this car was driving in the direction of Horodotska, on Levandivska Street. The patrol immediately caught up and blocked this vehicle.

There were 5 people in the car: residents of Lviv Oblast aged 19, 30, 31 and 39, as well as a 32-year-old foreigner with physical injuries. Employees of the criminal investigation department, investigative team and experts were immediately called to the scene.

The person was detained in accordance with Art. 208 (Detention by an authorized person) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Preliminary qualification of the event according to Part 2 of Art. 146 (Illegal deprivation of liberty or abduction of a person committed by a group of persons following a prior conspiracy) of the Criminal Code.

Such actions are punishable by restriction of liberty for up to five years or deprivation of liberty for the same term.

A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
