In Lviv, police brought to justice hooligans who threw imitation airsoft grenades from a window

No one was injured in the incident, and the offenders were drunk.

Law enforcers remind that such actions are unacceptable, especially during martial law. The sounds of explosions can cause psychological trauma to residents, especially children, the elderly, internally displaced persons and combatants.

The police received a report of explosions on 16 August at around 1am from a resident of an apartment block on Troleibusna Street in Lviv.

An investigative team and officers of other services of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2, as well as patrol police officers, were working at the scene. Law enforcement officers found that two 20-year-old Lviv residents, while drunk, threw five imitation airsoft grenades from the window of an apartment on the sixth floor of a building for hooliganism.

The police drew up administrative reports against them under Article 173 (disorderly conduct) of the Code of Administrative Offences. The article provides for a fine of three to seven tax-free minimum incomes, or community service for a term of forty to sixty hours, or correctional labour for a term of one to two months with a deduction of twenty per cent of the earnings, or administrative arrest for up to fifteen days.
